The VESSEL shall be delivered safely afloat by the SELLER to the BUYER at the SELLER"s Shipyard, in accordance with the Specifications and with all Classification and Statutory Certificates and after completion of Trials (or, as the case may be, re Trial or re Trials) and acceptance by the BUYER in accordance with the provisions of Article VI hereof on or before ___________, 20--__ provided that, in the event of delays in the construction of the VESSEL or any performance required under this Contract due to causes which under the terms of the Contract permit extension of the time for delivery, the aforementioned time for delivery of the VESSEL shall be extended accordingly, provided that the SELLER shall have notified the BUYER of the occurrence of a cause which under the terms of this Contract permit extension of the time of delivery within five (5) business days of the SELLER becoming aware of such occurrence.

买方要求合同交船期的顺延提前5个工作日通知船东。由于造船合同中多个章节都对合同交船期调整做了相关规定，如第五章（4）买方供应品中，“Should the BUYER fail to deliver to the SELLER such items within the time specified, the delivery of the VESSEL shall automatically be extended for a period of such delay, provided such delay in delivery of the BUYER"s supplied items shall affect the delivery of the VESSEL.”。由于买方供应品的延误，合同交船期将自动顺延。所以买方要求合同交船期顺延须提前5个工作日是不合理的。
