China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI), Shenzhen, has signed a contract with Singapore-based Ultra Deep Solutions for three diving support construction vessels (DSCV). The three 5,600 dwt newbuildings will be Marin Teknikk-designed MT6023 with an overall length of 111.58 m, beam of 23 m and draught of 7 m, with delivery scheduled for mid-2017, end of 2017, and mid-2018. They will have a cargo deck area of 1015 m2, a 3.9 x 3.9 moonpool, a heave compensated 150 tonne crane (depth of 3000 m), a 10 tonne crane (depth of 300 m), an 18-man single bell saturation system for operations down to 300 m, and two work-class ROVs for operations down to 3,000 m. They will be DNV classed and able to accommodate 120 persons.
