HHI wins Mexican VLGC
2015-06-04
South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai HI has won a new order for a VLGC from Mexican energy provider Tomza. The 84,000 cbm capacity vessel is booked for delivery in March 2017 and is estimated to have been priced at USD 79 million. It will be built at HHI's Ulsan shipbuilding facility. The same owner contracted a similar ship in 2012 at HHI for USD 74 million. This vessel, named Albert, was delivered in June last year and is managed by Stena Bulk's Houston operation. The newbuilding contract is understood to have been negotiated directly between Tomza and HHI.
