Finnlines 1st 5800m Ro-Ro Steel Cutting at Jinglin

On June 8, 2020, China Merchants Jinling Shipping (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. started construction of a 5,800-meter Ro-Ro Cargo Ship for Finnlines Plc, a subsidiary of Italy"s Grimaldi Group. This ship is the 1st unit of two ships order by Finnlines.



The ship is currently the new generation of environmentally friendly Ro-Ro ship, with the LOA of 238 meters, 34 meters beam, the speed of 20.7 knots, deadweight tonnage of about 17105 tons, with the bearing capacity of the lane is 5800 meters, 13.6 meters can be loaded trailer 386, top deck can load standard 20, 30, 40, 45 feet container, hold the middle and elevation deck loading car, have a diversity of loading.



Built to the Classification standards of The Italian RINA Classification Society and meeting the requirements of Green Plus and ICE IA SUPER.It is equipped with two motors, two 2000KW exciter type axial shaft generator, advanced air resistance reduction system, solar battery energy storage system, desulfurization tower, ballast water treatment system and other energy saving and environmental protection devices, which meet the requirements of THE LATEST IMO standard EEDI environmental protection, energy saving and environmental protection, flexible and efficient cargo loading and other characteristics.
