| Avic Weihai wins MST Handysize pair |
| Chinese shipbuilder Avic Weihai Shipyard has won an order for two Handysize bulkers from German shipowner Mineralien Schiffahrt Spedition und Transport (MST). The two 38,000 dwt vessels will have an overall length of 181 m, a beam of 30 m, and a depth of 15.2 m. Delivery is scheduled for September and November 2016. Sources indicate the vessels cost about USD22 million each. The shipowner currently has two 27,700 dwt bulkers under construction at Avic Ding¬heng that were ordered in 2013 and are scheduled for delivery in September and December this year. |
