| Louis Dreyfus Order 1+1 50,000-dwt MR Tanker (LNG Powered) with Chengxi Shipyard |
CSSC Chengxi shipyard has obtained an order of 1+1 50,000 dwt LNG fuelled MR Tanker from French ship owner "Louis Dreyfus". Due to the use of LNG dual-fuel main engine, the ship price is about $10 million higher than that of normal ships of the same type, and the single ship price is about $42-43 million. There is no report on the delivery date at present.
CSSC Leasing is providing a finance lease for the project, which will be delivered to Louis Dreyfus on a five-year lease.
Louis Dreyfus is a French conglomerate engaged in the worldwide trade of cereals, oils and fats, feed, rice, meat, sugar, coffee, cotton, natural and man-made fibres, electricity, natural gas, petroleum and petroleum products, government bonds and financial securities. Last year Dreyfus received a fleet of 13, 000 tons of deck carriers from Wuchang Shipyard, mainly for coal, ore and other cargo. The ship adopts the patent type of dual-tail fin independently. The vessel with a LOA 130 meters, Beam 26 meters, Depth 8 meters, deadweight of 13,000 tons. |
