Boskalis创立于1910年，集团总部位于荷兰鹿特丹。是荷兰1953年开始建设的“Delta Works”大坝工程的主要承包商，曾参与建造香港新机场。Boskalis是荷兰最大的海工集团公司，主营疏浚、海工服务、海上救助打捞、拖航等海事服务业务，其下属企业达34家，其中包括著名半潜船船船东公司“Dockwise Ltd”。Boskalis 集团员工数量达10700人，在世界90多个国家设有分支机构或公司。船舶多为海工船及挖泥船，目前运营船舶数量达900多艘，其中自有船舶302艘。

Boskalis集团船型以拖船、挖泥船、半潜船及各类海工船为主，目前运营船舶数量达900多艘，其中自有船只302艘船。自有的302艘船中，含拖船153艘，挖泥船62艘，半潜船15艘，其余大多是海工辅助船。

Boskalis 著名的11万吨半潜船，在理论上该船能运输无限长的货物。

中船集团广船国际分别于2012及2015年为其收购的子公司“Fairstar Transport”交付了一艘5万吨半潜船及一艘7万吨半潜船。（2019）
