Hudong-Zhonghua SY contracted three 174,000 cubic metre LNG carriers

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard contracted three 174,000 cubic metre LNG carriers, the ship owner is joint venture between Cosco Shipping and PetroChina. The order is an option vessels to the three firm carriers signed last year. No price and delivery date was reported.

The three 174,000 square meters LNG ships of the second phase of national LNG Transportation project signed by CNPC this time adopt the design of the fourth generation "Changxing Series" large LNG ship independently developed by Hudong-Zhonghua SY.

The ship has a total length of 295 meters, a width of 45 meters, a depth of 26.25 meters, a speed of 19.5 knots, and adopts the world's latest generation of dual-fuel low-speed propulsion power system.
