| Austal wins high-speed crew boat |
| Australian shipbuilder Austal has announced that it has won a new order from Caspian Marine Services of Azerbaijan for a fast crew boat. The 70 m-long vessel has been priced at USD34 million and will be capable of 30 kt and able to carry 150 passengers. The ship will be built at Austal’s Philippines and Henderson shipyards with delivery booked for Q3 2016. “The award reinforces Austal’s continuing leadership in high-speed aluminium vessel construction and is a great opportunity to further mature the integration of our supply chain between our Philippines and Henderson operations,” said Austal CEO Andrew Bellamy. |
