On July 15, CSSC Chengxi shipyard deliveried the 70,000-dwt Woodchip carrier to Singapore ship owner Nova.

The ship is the first of four vessels of the same type, with a LOA 215.4m, Beam 37m, Depth 25.2m, making it the world"s largest woodchip carrier. It not only has a large cargo capacity, but also has low green and environment-friendly fuel consumption, which meets the requirements of ECA emission control area. Its performance and efficiency indexes are in the international leading level, which will save considerable transport costs for sawdust shipping owners and have obvious competitive advantages in the sawdust maritime transport market.

In 2017, Chengxi shipyard succeed built and delivery 4 units of 64000-dwt woodchip carrier. In 2018 to win new 4 units of 70000-dwt woodchip carriers.
