MHI wins JX Ocean LPG order

Japanese shipbuilder Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has won an order for an LPG carrier from returning compatriot shipowner JX Ocean, which will be built at its Nagasaki shipyard. The 83,000m³ vessel will have an overall length of 230m, beam of 36.6m, depth of 21.65m and is scheduled for delivery in June 2016. The shipowner’s last order at the yard was placed in November 2010 for the same size vessel, which was named Sunny Vista and delivered in March 2013. No costs were disclosed for this latest newbuilding.
